Horseshoe Crab – 3D Watercolor on Wood

Horseshoe Crab celebrates an iconic creature of the Delaware coast through Cheryl Zapata’s signature watercolor-to-wood process. Created from Cheryl’s original watercolor, the horseshoe crab is printed, precisely cut and raised above the textured blue-water background to create depth and natural shadow.
Rich shades of blue, turquoise and violet highlight the intricate shell and tail, while the exposed wood edges enhance the dimensional construction. Because of the handcrafted process and natural variations in the wood, each finished artwork will be slightly unique.
Approximately 16 × 20 inches overall and ¾ inch deep. Made to order in approximately 7–10 days. Shipping is available, or pickup may be arranged at one of our shops.
