Delaware World War II Observation Tower Sunset – 3D Watercolor on Wood
Delaware World War II Observation Tower Sunset celebrates one of the historic observation towers that still stand along the southern Delaware coast. Built by the Army during World War II, eleven of these distinctive concrete towers once stretched from Fenwick Island northward to Cape Henlopen.
Created from Cheryl Zapata’s original watercolor, the tower is printed, precisely cut and raised above a brilliant sunset background to create depth, dimension and natural shadow. Vivid coral, orange and blue surround the weathered tower, while engraved details and exposed wood edges emphasize its character and history. Because of the handcrafted process and natural variations in the wood, each finished artwork will be slightly unique.
Approximately 16 × 20 inches overall and ¾ inch deep. Made to order in approximately 7–10 days. Shipping is available, or pickup may be arranged at one of our shops.
