I am honored that Kathleen "Cook" used my octopus painting and the wonderful documentary called My Octopus Teacher as inspiration for her tattoo! As she says, "obviously living at he beach does not hurt for the ocean theme either." It's true, the beach inspires a lot of us to embrace aging with a different kind of enthusiasm. Turning 60 in May this year and decided to do a few crazy things. Got my ears pierced for a second time last week. And yesterday I got a tattoo. The octopus was inspired by the beautiful art work of friend Cheryl Zapata. Her art and note cards are sold in stores in Fenwick Island and Bethany, Delaware. The tattoo was also inspired by the wonderful documentary called My Octopus Teacher. Obviously living at the beach does not hurt for the ocean theme tattoo either. Who knows what other crazy things I will do before May.
